one of the most re-read books on my bookshelf is a woman's walk with god, by elizabeth george. this book explains each "fruit" in the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. {i'm currently reading it for the 5th or 6th time... can't really remember, but judging by the severe underlining and highlighting, i'm guessing it's around there.} not only does the author explain each of these attributes, she gives simple, practical ways to implement them into your daily routine.
if you're looking for a way to better yourself, start with this, and you'll get a whole new perspective on living a "good" life.
also currently reading...
Jonathan Edwards: A Life  by George Marsden
These High, Green Hills   by Jan Karon (one of my old favorites)
Don't Waste Your Life  by John Piper
just finished...
The Knowledge of the Holy  by A.W. Tozer (unquestionably worth it)

This sounds like a very great read Summer. I need a book like this one. I love to learn, and if you have read it this many times, then that sounds like my kind of read. Thanks for the share.

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.

"If Christ be anything, He must be everything."
-C.H. Spurgeon
