it all started when grant ordered a hickory chicken sandwich at ruby tuesday.
ever since then, he's been bent on bacon + barbecue.
last sunday we created our own version of his preferred dish.
it was simple & snappy.
here's how you can share the sandwich love:
slice up some savory chicken breasts.
saute a bit of sweet onion- must be minced, for me.
bake your bacon. applewood smoked is the ultimate.
{say goodbye to fat splattered on you & your stove top.
just foil up a jelly roll pan & stick your strips in the oven.}
carve delicate shavings of monterey jack.
lightly toast your sesame seed buns.
assemble.
slather on the barbecue sauce.
sandwich, meet after-church starving stomachs.
a mouthwatering match.
