a night i will never forget.
grant came into the dining hall and found me where i was dishing up chicken nuggets to a line of hungry campers. i actually wanted to cry when he relayed the news. the king of pop was gone. i couldn't grasp it. he seemed so invincible. our dream of seeing him in person.. crushed. but i went to a sink and washed my hands and pulled it together to finish serving. after the meal, i popped in some jackson 5 tunes and we danced our hearts out while we did the dishes.. for mj. it was unforgettable. i'm so glad that his music will never die.

It's unreal. I still can't believe he's gone. But you're right- it's a good thing his music will last forever.
Greatest of all time! His music will absolutely live on forever, for generations. Love his music.
truly, it's hard to believe. summer, please make us a tribute mix. inexcusably, my list of mj tunes is suffering. i'd love to know your all-time favorite must-haves.
like you said, i have an itunes card and i'm not afraid to use it. happy dancing.
xo.
:(
so, so heartbreaking! i had a feeling that the news would hit you especially hard - if you follow your blog for long enough, it becomes pretty evident that you loved mr. jackson!
so incredibly sad. he lives on through his unbelievable tunes, however. i've had the Number Ones spinning, in his honor, for the past 2 days. terrific stuff.
I loved his music too and with his death, I was overwhelming sad for the troubled life he lived and for his kids. The specials on TV have been great though - he was just amazing at what he did!
When I heard the news I immediately thought, "I wonder how Summer is doing with this?". I know how much you love his music.
so unreal. I can't believe he's gone. I've been a fan since I was 12 - and listened to the thriller album over and over.
anyone remember "We Are the World"?
sooo... did your life end after MJ died? because I've been checking for new posts for a while now...
