ipad
just got done watching the video about the new 'magical' item from apple. we haven't made up our minds about it yet. it sure is eye candyish with its dazzling screen and super-thin size. but we still want to know if you can run normal computer applications on it like iwork and photoshop. also, personally, it would be hard to get over the lack of anything mouselike for my fingers. but they talk like this is going to revolutionize everything, so if the iPad is what's next, maybe i just need to get with the times.

I have to admit, I was sucked in immediately by the pretty-ness of it all. Even though I've never been a big Apple fan, it does look like a good product. This article brought me back to reality a bit. http://i.gizmodo.com/5458382/8-things-that-suck-about-the-ipad
I'm sure eventually, these things will be fixed/added, but I'm definitely not going to be buying one of the first ones available. It's an awesome start though I think!

i'm not sure about it yet, either. it's a giant iPod touch! still cool though.

I'm not really an expert, but from what I understand, the iPad is Apple's version of a netbook - a small, portable device that's good for casual internet surfing and word processing, but not powerful enough for programs like Photoshop. I believe that it uses the iPhone operating system, so pretty sure this won't handle Photoshop. Plus I would think it would be hard to do any photo editing without a mouse or even a stylus. Maybe in later versions though...

Hi!
I found you through Kelli's blog-she mentioned your potato soup recipe...which I made (!!!) and LOVED (!!!). I left some comments on that post-If you get the chance, please read them, I also left a question there-I didn't see an email address1 :)

i have to admit i'm not sure what i think about it either. isn't a laptop going to be just as easy? oh well, i guess i need to get with the times too!

I think it's a waste of money. It's a giant iPod touch. I agree with dayzeecloud about that website. What's wrong with just a laptop which is better at the same price!

we watched the ad too...excellent marketing if nothing else, right?! i'm new to the mac world, and love the ease of their designs---but definitely can live without the ipad (at least for now).

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.
