newmachine2
it came yesterday. the epic purchase. can you spy it under the little table?
it's a sewing machine!
and a whole new world for me. where it will take me, nobody knows. as of right now i am not a sewer, but up until now i've never had the means to be. seeing as how the door of opportunity was just flung wide open, maybe i will become one. supposedly these computerized machines make it super easy. we'll see about that. but please be patient with me, we probably won't see my first project popping up any day now. i don't even own any thread or fabric! but i'm going to learn to sew, i hope. and i hope i end up loving it.
ps. and guess who is going to teach me.. grant. i know, right? he's so cool.

I am so excited for you! I know I've gotten hours of use out of mine (and I can't read a sewing pattern to save my life), so you, Miss Creative, will have so much fun!!! Congrats! :)

Ooh ooh, how fun! I love mine, though I'm not super great at using it. But I do make a mean pillowcase. :)

Yay! You're going to love it. Don't start with clothes - choose something a bit simpler, like a little purse or something.

Your husband knows how to sew? That is awesome. I hope you end up using yours. I always have projects shoved in the back of my mind to do, but somehow never get around to doing them. It's very fun and relaxing though.

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.
