i can't believe it's here! still feels as special as it did in 4th grade. it's funny how every year, there's a clear sense of belonging to this day. and it belongs to me. and i have a feeling the preschoolers are going to sing to me at school today. i'm smiling just thinking about it.
things that are important on a birthday:
1. a special breakfast (check.)
2. sunshine (check. and 70 degrees to go with it.)
3. painted nails (check.)
4. big plans (see below.)
i'm headed to nebraska to spend my birthday with my twin sister. i'm super excited.
mom is making us each our own cake.
grant is taking me to chipotle.
mom & dad are going to show us their new favorite antique shop.
haley is cutting my hair.
i get to be at her bridal shower on saturday!
chelsea will be there. and my grandmas. and cousins. and old friends.
and i get to try on my maid of honor dress. woohoo!

A new comer to your blog today, and truthfully I have NO idea how I got here. A click here, a click there and then I found myself here printing out the granola bar recipe.

Happy Belated Birthday and I look forward to getting to know you. The sunshine and happiness here at your place really lifted me up today.

thank you.

Hi Summer! I stumbled across your blog through a couple of other food blogs I read and noticed you have a twin sister, too.

I just celebrated my 30th with my twin sister, Kate. I couldn't imagine my life without her, as I'm sure you understand completely. :)

Just wanted to give a shout out to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog and to keep the posts coming!

Have a great day.

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.
