corncasserole

this is my favorite thing at the thanksgiving table. not the cranberry sauce, not the stuffing, not even the pumpkin pie, this.

i'm talking about mom's classic corn casserole. mmmmm. mm! if you didn't grow up with this stuff, it might be time to add a new tradition.
hop over to the smithfield blog to get the recipe! (seriously, go see how easy it is!) if you need another side dish for the big feast, this one is a definite crowd-pleaser.

You are not weird. Corn casserole is my favorite thing too! I will be missing it ever so much this year as I venture to the inlaws who won't touch it (what is wrong with people?)
Happy Thanksgiving!

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.

"If Christ be anything, He must be everything."
-C.H. Spurgeon
