okay. am taking a break from thinking about camp things and rewinding to last week. i'm finally ready to unpack all the awesomeness from our trip. first of all, i want to say thank you to grant's amazing family. everybody was so sweet and entertained us to the max. thanks for taking care of us, belmonts and friends! and here's my list of new-to-me stuff + favorite things that i found while on holiday in california. hope you enjoy. 01. 'animal style' & 'extra toast' on my in-n-out burger. no pickles, no tomato. sauce, definitely. 02. anthropologie. my first visit ever. it was magical. 03. the volcano candle that was burning inside anthropologie. 04. california screamin' @ disney's california adventure. 05. churros and frozen chocolate bananas @ disney. overpriced, but delish. 06. jonesy and della. my ultra cute new canine friends. 07. yosemite national park. sentinel dome. glacier point. 08. the cart on the end of main street usa that makes gigantic corn dogs. 09. aladdin on stage at california adventure. 10. the 'celebrate' street party parade @ disneyland. 11. pinkberry. a friend told me that i must make a stop at this spot. she was so right. sweet + light + simple= incredible. i walked in and imediately fell under the pinkberry spell. pure frozen yogurt done up with fresh fruits and favorite cereals. mm. a place where dessert dreams come true. this alone is worth a trip to cali. 12. red mango. here's the story with this one.. we went to pinkberry for round two of the perfect dessert. but when we got up to the counter, the very nice young man said that they had closed up shop for the night. seeing the disappointment on our faces, he mentioned that if we wanted something very similar, to go to the original frozen yogurt spot.. red mango. the place that started it all. the dreamiest, creamiest treat of your life. mm, mm, mm! if and when you get there, try the new tangomonium flavor. my mouth will never be the same.

Hi Summer! I'm so happy you had such a great time in California.... oh in-n-out, how I miss thee! When I go there I always get my burger protein style... wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun... plus a neopolitan milkshake :o) Heaven! Enjoy your Friday.

They do have Anthrpologie in Omaha- at Regency Court- so if you need a fix, you can get one sometime when you are at home.

which anthro did you go to? the one at the grove is always my favorite. i don't know why, exactly. i guess i like their dresser/designer person best. i didn't know red mango came before pinkberry... really? hmm. i don't remember any red mangos being around before pinkberry but i'm going to have to look that up. about three summers ago, pinkberrys started popping up on every corner and there was this big craze (i was actually interviewed for the morning show once when i was walking out with my medium original with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). then, a million knock-offs opened up. fresh berry, snowberry, yogurtland... rosegreen in glendale is my favorite. and it think it's the cheapest, too. ;)

it sounds like you had such an awesome vacation!

apparently the first-ever anthro in canada opened up and *gasp* it's relatively close to my house - this could get very dangerous. i may have to set up tent in the parking lot.

Apparently, we were probably at Disneyland around the same time. I love those churros, too! Everything there is overpriced, but seriously... so full of joy that I just didn't care.

I'm glad you had a good trip!
