i'm here to reassure you that i have not given up on writing this blog. but i've learned that i will have to be okay with a summer slow-down. every time i get on the computer, it feels like i've dropped off the face of the blog earth. every time i think about blogging, i realize that it's been days and days since i've posted anything. and that's going to have to be alright. i'll just have to deal.
i don't want posting to become something that i stress out about. i don't want to feel like i need to do it so that i can check a box. it should not be a chore. sometimes i tend to do that. i turn the sweet things into a big, bad to-do list. shame on me. so, in order to prevent that from happening here, i will learn to be happy with the sporadic.. instead of striving for daily.
and now, as a blatant rebuttal to all of my big talk about slowing down, this afternoon i sat myself down and spent my whole break on the computer. i'm not sure that's such a good thing. but no matter. it was fun. and i have another piece of the list for you today.
we've started using this wicked sweet watkins' lemon spray in the camp kitchen and i am loving it. it smells like liquid lemon drops. and it even says it has 'conscience-clearing power'. woohoo. when i added the lemon heaven to my list, that's when i realized that it was high time i cut another snippet and stick it in this spot. here you go. i may not be back in for a few days. and that's okay.. right? will you still be my readers? i really hope so. i really like you guys.
687. watkins' lemon all-purpose cleaner
370. seeing random acts of chivalry

It's okay, Summer! No worries... I think everyone's more relaxed in the summer. I say, enjoy camp and don't worry too much about posting all the time. Blogging's fun, not a job, right?

i do miss your more routine posts, but it makes it all the better when i see a new post after a few days. it's the little things, right?

i am struggling with the same thing, anyway... it seems as though i've been living out of a suitcase lately, and blogging has taken a backseat to life.

glad to hear you're doing well. love the lists as always :)

I would love to spend some time in that kitchen. Love the floor. And the conscience-clearer.

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.

"If Christ be anything, He must be everything."
