1. When I go to a movie, I play this game in my head where I try to guess who the composer is before I see the credits. (I love trivia.)
2. My baby was born at home.
3. I don't usually wear deodorant.
4. I really want to visit North and South Carolina.
5. I'm a nerd. I love Lord of the Rings and I still wear my retainer to bed every night.
6. Jobs I've had in my life so far: Cleaning houses, Local Swimming Pool "attendant"- not the lifeguard, but the person who gives you a wristband and tells you when it's your turn to go down the slide, Front Desk assistant at my orthodontist's office, Camp Shetek Kitchen Girl, Camp counselor (for one week), Research Desk receptionist at an allergy/asthma clinic, Preschool teaching assistant, Freelance blogger/graphic design/online shop
7. My get-ready-for-bed routine is way too long and I dread it. And I'm not one of those people who can skip it.
8. Grant and I didn't kiss until we were engaged. (Yes, I will write more of our dating story!)
9. I have flat feet and one knuckle that cracks. ONE. You'll see me crack my right thumb a lot.
10. Favorite smells: sunscreen, hotel smell, woodsmoke, hardware store smell, fresh basil, chlorinated pool, breakfast smells (coffee, burnt toast, blueberry muffins, fried eggs).
11. Sometimes my hands just go limp when I need to open a jar. My twin and I call this "dead hands."
12. I placed #1 in my state on a National French Exam.

Tim and I didn't kiss until we were engaged!
I didn't know you had a home birth! I've been reading since you had your old blog, Source of Winsome... so it's been YEARS :)
loved your post!
i've been reading since you first started blogging!
i don't know exactly how long i've been reading. one of the first posts i remember is a Christmas post in your previous home. you did some sort of Christmas book on brown paper bags (?), you cut out magazine articles and such.....i think that was you anyway :)
and, if you ever get to go to north carolina, visit asheville. it's a neat little town.
i love these lists! and i posted mine today too!
I have been reading for at least 5 years...maybe even longer. Your blog remains one of my all time favorites. :)
I've been reading for at least 2 years, maybe longer :) I think you've mentioned that you don't wear deodorant before but it still blows my mind! I would smell so bad! And yes, please share more of your dating story!
What fun tidbits! I just love learning about people's little nuances. I, too, hate my nighttime routine. It always seems exhausting (and yet entirely necessary). I believe I've been reading since you were pregnant.
hmmm curious now about what your bedtime routine is! These days I brush my teeth and wash my face super quick while my two month old is screaming in my husband's arms because he wants his last nurse for the night!
I've only been reading for a couple months but I appreciate your obvious love for being a wife, homemaker, and mom!
I've been reading since you announced your pregnancy, and I swear I love your blog more and more each month! I had a home birth (my first little one!) in October (by the by, your post to new moms the other week made me cry...my heart and soul needed it).
I've been reading for a year or two now I think...ever since I saw your blog listed as one of Whitney's favorites from Elm Street Life :) I can't wait to hear more of your story...I love that you and Grant waited to kiss until you were engaged!
And that's very impressive on your french! I'm on my 5th year of studying it and love it so much!
I've been reading for...well, since shortly before your first anniversary. : )
Lovely post, Summer! I can't remember when I discovered your lovely blog - or how I discovered it for that matter! But the first post I remember reading was one where you mentioned reading 'Redeeming Love'. I had just read it (must be at least 4 years ago) and loved the thought of someone across the ocean reading the very same book as me, by complete coincidence : )
Hi,
loved reading your 5 things.
I just posted a similiar blogpost, if anybody is interested in it.
