i was over the moon when grant and i found this table.
we got it at a craft/random stuff store when they were having a clearance sale on their furniture. it was only $50. i love the simple lines and distressed touches on it.
we only have seats for two right now, but that's perfect for us, and there's room for more.
today i made cookies for my mother-in-law to take to church tonight.
they are heath bar cookies- instead of traditional chocolate chip. they were a hit.
and when she came to pick them up at my house, she brought me these two delightful mini loaves of banana bread. she teaches preschool and today they studied the letter "Bb." so they had a little baking lesson. oh so cute.
if you're looking for a mini loaf pan, there's a great one at williams-sonoma that lets you bake a dozen at a time. find it here.

That is such a buy on that great table. I love the apples in the center. How you teased me so with that crumb just waiting to be grabbed to try those delicious looking cookies. And then the bread? Wow. You are very ambitious.

Making heath bar cookies would undo me, I'm afraid! No one else would even get to taste them, because I would eat them all. They look delicious.

about this blog

Hello, I'm Summer. A people-loving introvert whose hope and life is in Jesus. His promises are my passion and my ministry is homelife. This blog is a place for me to write about everyday things. Especially food. My favorite thing to do is sit around a table, lingering over a long meal with good conversation. I live with my husband and our 2 littles. We like blizzards, thrifting, grammar, guacamole, cheerful hearts, nice manners, good movies, and making simple, real, nutrient-dense food.
